The name comes from the rarest print run of Base Set — the early sheets that left the press in 1999 without the shadow border around the artwork, before Wizards corrected it for every print after. Those first cards are the foundation of vintage Pokémon collecting, and they’re what got us into this in the first place.
Shadowless Trading Cards is a small, collector-run shop based in Shoreham-by-Sea on the south coast of the UK. We started where most collectors do — chasing the cards we couldn’t afford as kids, then realising we’d quietly built up duplicates of half of Base Set. We started as a 5-star seller on Vinted and opened this online store to make things easier for our buyers.
What we sell
We deal exclusively in WOTC-era Pokémon: Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym Heroes, Gym Challenge, and the Neo series. Both raw and graded. Unlimited prints, and the harder-to-find Shadowless, 1st Edition, and Base Set 2 variants. If it was printed before 2003 and has the WOTC logo on the back, it’s our patch.
What you can expect
- The card in the photo is the card you get. No stock images. Every listing is shot individually, front and back, so you can grade the condition yourself before you buy.
- Packed properly. Raw cards ship sleeved and well packaged, inside a rigid mailer.
- UK-based, UK-shipped. No customs paperwork for UK buyers, no surprise charges. Most orders are out the door within 24 hours.
